A Great yet humble man – Sir Brian Bell

I first heard that of the passing of the late Sir Brian bell on the morning news on NBC. Sir Brian had passed away on the 25th July 2010 in Brisbane Australia. Never have I seen so much out pour of best wishes and condolences to a fellow statesman and citizen of this country. Ever since the announcement of his passing, the tremendous number of condolence that keeps on flooding the two local dailies has not slowed down but continues to increase. I can recall on some instances having seen him in his shop walking around making sure everything from the smallest to the biggest was in perfect order and if it was not he practically demonstrates how it should be done. His simplicity is also reflected with what he drives around. I was even surprise one Sunday morning after service at St Martin’s Parish with Noel he left in a small Mitsubishi magna sedan non tinted. It is often the case where you see a lot of well off business man riding around in big 4 by 4 vehicles. Though I have not spoke to him personally, I have heard and seen how generous this man is and that I think is his secret to a very successful business. Every time he gives he is blessed ten times more and that is reflected in Proverbs. He may depart physically but his memory and his name will continue to be a household name every time we think of quality and durability in household items.
Rest in peace Sir Brian Bell
