Remembering Uncle Abel
Was checking out he paper this morning (15/06/10) and found this little tribute for uncle Abel. Its been a year now since his passing away on the 12th of June 2009. Had some good memores of him when I was small. He was with aunty Edna at their Taurama traffic lights residence back in the 80s (Today the round about is replaced with a round about) Back then uncle was still single and living with his sister until he got married. We used to visit them occasionally those days. Uncle worked with the then DCA then CAA and PNG Airports Corporation. On the time of his death, he was with uncle Titus in Mt Hagen. Uncle Abel was laid to rest at Nine Mile on the outskirt of Port Moresby.

A rememberance weekend
While most of PNG were on a long weekend (Rememberance weekend) we were in hospital checking on Olive. She was admitted to POM Gen Hospital suspected of malaria. Though result of her blood test was negative, she still had a temperature. We visited her after she was placed in ICU ward for observation. This is the nicer part of the hospital as it is well maintained. The ICU ward shares the same level as ward seven on the old wing of the hospital. We had Epe spend the night with her on Saturday. She was finally discharged on Sunday. Greg her partner is a doctor there.
