Whilst we enjoy the comfort of wantoks and friends sometimes when we hear a passing of a relative its heart breaking. The past week was a sad story. My inlaw was murdered cold blooded on the 24th of June Thursday morning. He was walking to work and his last phone call was with his wife before he was stabbed to death at Gerehu stage II. Unfortunately there was no withness but it is believed to be boys from the Tete Settlement. This settlement is notorious for various killing including the late Constantino (Owner of Hebou and a hotel)Post motem revealed that a sharp object punchured his wind pipe which made him to collapse instantly.It is alleged that there were three asailan, two Goilala and an Engan. He was still young and was working with a construction company involved with the LNG project.He is survived by this wife and two sons. His body was repatriated back to the village (Gavuone) and barried the following week. RIP Freddy Alu..
